hello all! dustin here. as you can see, it's been a little while since we have updated our little family blog here. if you've been paying attention, you probably know why. first off, let's see the next picture of angela.
that was ang at 39 weeks. in fact, that was ang the day we went to the hospital. if it wasn't mentioned before, due to the baby's size, we ended up scheduling an induction for September 1, 2009, and we went in the night before for the pre-induction preparations.
the hospital was sweet. luxury private room with flat-screen tv and everything. not that we had a whole lot of "privacy" since ang needed to be checked every hour or so to make sure her levels were doing okay.
and that's all i have time for now (see why there hasn't been an update lately). stay tuned for more. :)

38 Weeks Along

Big Ole baby - being induced September 1st, hoping the baby doesn't arrive before hand!!! We're getting things done around the house though and spending time together.

37 Weeks

Here are my very uncomfortable pics at 37 weeks, full term! Started having some contractions due to the baby dropping a little bit. I can now breathe better, but I'm still huge!

31 Weeks

It is official, I now know exactly how many weeks along I am. These pics were taken last weekend at 31 weeks. Only 8 weeks left!! Yay!! I had a doc appt yesterday and I will have another ultrasound in two weeks so we will get new baby pictures, which I'm VERY excited about. =)

30 weeks - Nursery

The last weekend in June was nursery weekend. We had lots of help and I'd like to say thank you to all of them: Dustin's Mom, My Mom and Dad, My cousin Jennifer and her daughter Olivia, and our friend Liz. The girls did a lot of painting (even Dustin did some). The nursery is sage green with a Classic Pooh wallpaper border at about chair rail level (will put pics of that up soon). My mom painted the family bassinet which is at least 54 years old and needed a little TLC. Our baby will be the 14th McCan family baby to sleep in it. My dad and Dustin then spent Saturday evening putting together the baby crib and Sunday morning putting together the dresser/changing table. I had pregnancy brain and did not get pics of painting the room but here are pics I have.

26 Weeks Pregnant

Here are 26 week pictures taken in the nursery. It is raining outside and there are lots of leaves down. The yard is pretty much a mess, so we weren't able to take pictures outside today, but I'm sure we'll get some soon.

Happy Birthday Mama!

Angela's birthday was May 19th. We took some pictures of her and the baby for her first birthday being a mom to be.

22 Weeks Pregnant

We took some pictures this morning of my rapidly expanding belly. How big am I going to get??! We also went to Warren County this weekend and got our first family picture. I'm feeling really good, but have been getting tired easily.

Group Presentation Night

Angela had her MBA class tonight and had to deliver a portion of a group presentation. She had to dress up and here are pictures of her (and the baby at 21 1/2 weeks) after class. Getting bigger!

Baby's First Photo Shoot

We had our second ultrasound today at 19 1/2 weeks along. Very exciting! Instead of looking like a bean it actually looks like a baby this time! The Ultrasound Tech said that the baby was being VERY co-operative. It was moving around a lot and was trying to suck it's thumb, we even saw the lips moving! Both the tech and the doc says everything looks good, no issues with vital organs and it is growing right on track. We got a lot of great pictures and a couple of them you can see both of it's hands up in front of it's face. We saw two legs and two arms and two feet and two hands, 5 fingers and 5 toes on each respectable appendage. OK, so we are in love. We hope you will be too!

19 week pictures

I am almost 19 weeks along now. I felt the first movements this past week. I have my second ultrasound on Thursday, so hopefully we'll have an updated baby picture soon.

Baby Mamas

Our friends TJ and Amber came over to visit last Sunday. Here, I am 18 weeks along and I am one month farther along than Amber is, but she already has 2 kids! :)

Life Milestones

The past 5 years have been very eventful for Dustin and I. We've hit many major life milestones during this past time. In fact, atleast one milestone each year. Here is our quick break down:

2004: Dustin graduates from the University of Southern Indiana and moves to Bloomington, IN where he meets Angela

2005: Angela graduates from Indiana University of Bloomington and the two of us move to Indianapolis. We are engaged to marry December 25th, 2005.

2006: Dustin and Angela get married.

2007: We buy our first real, grown-up car, a wonderful Toyota Prius.

2008: We buy our first house.

2009: We are expecting our first child, due Sept 6th, 2009.

We will not be finding out the sex of the baby until Bday. We're very excited and we're both trying to deal with the pregnancy brain, emotions and tiredness. Here are a couple pregnancy pics of Angela taken at 16 weeks.
